The Pale Ale

 In Our Journey

We’re excited to announce the release of the Shack Bay Brewing Pale Ale, and what a journey it has been! Despite some initial trepidation about the flavour profile—Matthew was slightly concerned about the drieness—it turned out pretty bloody good. Of course, we’re going to say that, but initial feedback from the tasting crew is that it’s a nice drop. The Pale Ale has hints of citrus, tropical notes, and light bitterness, making it an easy-drinking and delicious beer. It pairs well with just about anything, and the saltier the better!

Creating this Pale Ale was a labor of love. From crafting the recipe to perfecting the brew, every step was a learning experience. We experimented with different hop combinations to achieve the perfect balance of flavor and aroma. The result is a Pale Ale that we’re proud to call our own.

We owe a huge thank you to Simmo, Wayne, and Alex at Ocean Reach Brewing. Their guidance and support throughout the brew process were essential in getting it right. Their expertise helped us refine the recipe and avoid common pitfalls. Without their help, the first Shack Bay Brewing Pale Ale wouldn’t have been possible.

If you’re keen to try some, we’ve got it stocked in several locations around Inverloch. Check out the ‘Where to Buy’ page here on our website. You can find our Pale Ale at Foodworks Inverloch, Dirty Three Wines, and Cape Tavern (on tap!). We’re also working with more local places to get it on shelves, so check back soon to see where else you can buy our Pale Ale.

We’re thrilled to share our beer with you and look forward to hearing your thoughts. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to grow and experiment with new brews. Thanks for joining us on this exciting journey, and here’s to many more delicious creations in the future.

Cheers,
Matt & Luke
